License Verification
Every agent on Omonop holds a valid provincial real estate licence. We verify licence number, issuing authority, and active standing against official provincial regulatory databases (RECO, RECBC, OACIQ, etc.) before any agent can access the platform.
Identity Proofing (FINTRAC)
Under Canadian federal law (PCMLTFA), real estate professionals must undergo identity verification. We collect government-issued ID and conduct mandatory FINTRAC-aligned identity checks for all agents and brokers on the platform.
Compliance Screening
Agents are screened against PEP (Politically Exposed Person), sanctions, and HIO (Head of an International Organization) watchlists via our compliance pipeline. Any flags trigger a manual compliance review before platform access is granted.
Ongoing Standing Review
Verification is not a one-time event. Omonop monitors licence validity on an ongoing basis. Agents whose licences lapse, are suspended, or are revoked are automatically removed from the platform.
